Linking Lake Edward and Lake George the 32 km-long Kazinga Channel is a dominant feature of Queen Elizabeth National Park and acts as the main hub of the greater Queen Elizabeth Protected Area. The wide body of water attracts a varied range of animals and birds, with one of the world's largest concentration of hippos and numerous Nile crocodiles. The launch for the cruise along the Kazinga Channel is located at Mweya, in this sector, as is the park authority headquarters and Mweya Safari Lodge.
