The park covers a total of 528 hectares, with 36 of these making up the main landscaped gardens which are home to more than 8500 indigenous plant species and numerous birds. There are hiking trails within the park and guided tours available if required. First established in 1913, the Park is now known as one of the Seven Magnificent Botanical Gardens in the World.
