The museum is home to a red one-penny and a blue two-penny stamp issued in 1847 – two of the world’s rarest stamps. The stamps are only lit up for 10 minutes during each hour to help preserve their colouring. Apart from stamps the museum also traces the discovery and history of Mauritius.
