Iwik (Iouik) is a fishing village located in Banc d'Arguin National Park. The main entrance of Banc d'Arguin NP is located near Iwik village. A sign marks the entrance, guarded by the skeleton of a huge whale. 

At Iwik a  permanent tented camp with covered dining area and souvenir sellers is located inland behind the village and provides a place to rest-up. 

One of the main reasons to visit Iwik is to take a boat trip to view the masses of birds which congregate here in the winter months on their migratory routes. Either a shorter round-trip excursion is available or a full day option which visits the nearby islands.
