Qas’r Amra is a World Heritage Site and deservedly so with beautiful frescoes decorating its barreled and domed interior. It was here that the Ommayed Caliph Walid I probably bathed after a hard day’s hunting. The frescoes are varied and detail amongst other subjects naked girls and six figures, four of which have been identified as Caesar, a Byzantine emperor, Roderick king of the Visigoths and Negus, an Abyssinian king. The domed caldarium has a representation of the zodiac on its roof.
