This small museum at the University of Jordan was officially opened in1986. The museum has exhibition halls, research workshops, photography and draught rooms, a conservation laboratory and is an academic centre striving to develop archaeology by offering facilities to the teaching staff in the University’s Department of Archaeology. Exhibits on display include a model of the Temple of Artemis at Jerash and a copy of the famous Meshe Stele which shows the earliest known example of Hebrew script.
