This stunning old building sits right on the waterfront of Lake Pichola at Gangori Ghat. Built in the 18th century by Amir Chand Badwa, then Prime Minister of the Mewar state it has over a hundred rooms and some interesting displays of costumes and modern art. After the death of Badwa the building became the property of the Mewar state and was occupied by Maharana Shakti Singh of Bagore who built the impressive three arches facing the lake and it was then that it acquired the name Bagore-ki-haveli, the house of Bagore.
The haveli now stages delightful evening's entertainment; the pleasurable performance of Rajasthani traditional dance and music in what are atmospheric surroundings.
