Declared a national monument, Semuc Champey is a series of waterholes which cascade down through the cloud forest. The area has an abundance of waterfalls, pools and streams, all of them ideal for a swim, as well as a natural limestone bridge, which has a spectacular view of the river that runs beneath it. Semuc Champey is translated as "Sacred Waters” and it is certainly a destination you do not want to miss.
