West Falkland’s oldest farmstead, Port Howard, is a sheep farming settlement with 42,000 sheep and 1,000 cattle. In a scenically attractive location, it is an excellent base from which to explore.
There is a small museum with relics of the 1982 conflict. Visitors can watch the various aspects of sheep farming, walk or play golf. This is also one of the best places on the islands for sea trout fishing
