We have chosen a delightful corner of Tuscany to be the base of our new Tuscany Cooking Holiday location for 2008. Lucca and the surrounding area is a delightful, yet still relatively unspoilt part of Tuscany. Flavours cookery course in Tuscany is based at the peaceful and picturesque, Villa Segalato.
The Forci Estate is the perfect location for our cookery course in Tuscany lying amid vineyards and olive groves, steeped in strong culinary traditions of wine and olive production. We have exclusive use of the private Villa Segalato tucked away on the estate high in the hills above Lucca. Guests will be able to sit on the terrace and enjoy views across the charming valley, dotted with ancient bell towers, olive groves and "modern" 18th century villas. The villa is a classic Tuscan villa with terracotta tiles, wooden beams, a large kitchen, impressive formal lounge and six en-suite bedrooms. Outside the terrace has spectacular views down the valley and the swimming pool is perfect for an early morning swim.
Our cookery holiday in Tuscany is held during the months of March, April, May, September and October when when the vines are laden with grapes and the estate workers are busy with the harvest. During the month of October the olives will be picked - all by hand and pressed in the Estate's ancient olive oil press. The Estate also produce their own Pecorino cheese, which will be used throughout the cookery course.
Our short break, 4 days/3 nights, cooking holidays in Tuscany are £899 per person with no single supplement - which is always a bonus for the single traveller. The Tuscany course runs during the months of March, April, May, June, September and October, further details of which can be found in the Prices section of the site.
