Experience the natural beauty and stunning landscapes of Réunion on this self-drive tour. For travellers who prefer the freedom and flexibility of hiring a car exploring at your own pace, you'll just love Réunion. Driving is easy on this island (with the exception of some of the mountain roads into les Cirques), and it is small enough to scoot around most of the island in a week. The focus of this special interest trip is to get to know the lush and luxuriant flora of the island, its botanical gardens, beautiful flowers, stunning volcanic landscapes and enjoy some time on the coast.
For an even longer adventure and some pure relaxation why not consider extending your stay with a few days on the neighbouring island of Mauritius. White sand beaches, sunshine and warm waters - a perfect way to catch your breath after hiking all those volcanic trails...

Meet and greet at the airport, where an Anthurium Representative will handover of all the travel documents, and assist with the car rental collection. Self-drive to Hell-bourg, visit the "Maison Folio", a typical colonial style house, built in the 19th century and its beautiful gardens, lunch in a "table d'hote". |

Early departure for visiting the "Cooperative de Vanille" in Saint Benoit for learning all about the Vanilla cultivation, belonging to the
family of the Orchid plants. Continuation to the primary forest of Bébour/Bélouve. Lunch at the Mountain hut Belouve. |

Early departure to La Plaine des Cafres and the “Pas de Bellecombe”, situated on the foot of the Volcano, the “Piton de la Fournaise”.

Early departure direction Saint Louis and Cilaos. The alpine road brings you up to the high plateau of the Cilaos valley. The unexpected view to the “Piton des Neiges”, the highest mountain on the Island (3096m) is impressing! Lunch at the Vieux Cep in Cilaos. |

NWE (non-waiverable responsibility) for car hire - there is a possiblity to include full insurance covering NWE for approx EUR 6 per day.
