Age Restriction
Ages 11 and above are allowed to trek to Uhuru peak, but ages 10 and below are not allowed above 10,000ft.
What To Bring
Mountain Clothing: Warm/windproof jacket with hood, waterproof jacket with overtrousers, walking trousers, shirts, fleece, warm underwear, walking socks, good comfortable and broken-in walking boots, trainers (for evenings), gaiters, warm gloves, sun hat, warm hat or balaclava, scarf, towel (and bathing costume for hotel pool in Moshi, where applicable).
Mountain Equipment: Water bottle (1-2 litres), water purification tablets and filter, wash kit, toilet paper, first aid kit (including blister plasters, lip salve, headache pills, sun cream, personal medication), torch with extra batteries, sunglasses, walking poles, rucksack or duffel bag.

Sleeping Bags: Hire of a 4-season 'Vaude' sleeping bag is included and supplied locally.
Water Provision: On day 1 of the trek, 3 liters of bottled mineral water are provided, the rest you buy on this day. From day 2 until the end of the trip Katadyn filtered water is provided while on the mountain.
