What To Bring
Essentials include light cottons in mute colours such as summer shirts and t. shirts, comfortable trousers/skirts, sun protection (suncream, sunglasses and a sunhat). Note that you should take warmer clothing such as a good fleece and a warm jacket for the evenings and mornings between October and March when it can get surprisingly cold.
It is always necessary for both sexes to cover their legs when visiting holy places (mosques or temples) and ladies should bring (or buy locally) a lightweight scarf to cover their heads for such visits. Mosquitoes are rarely a problem though some travellers do like to bring or buy locally a spray for their hotels rooms (Raid, Baygon or similar). Good, comfortable footwear is essential for exploring.
