Other Information
Note that you will be provided with a private arrival transfer, then the trekking guide will meet you at your hotel to go over details of the trek. The trek is on a join in basis where you join a like minded group of fellow travllers, after which you will be dropped at your hotel for a free afternoonr and evening before a final transfer to the airport the following day.
A sleeping mat, a sheet and a blanket will be provided but for additional comfort participants may wish to bring a sleeping bag and/or silk inner sheet as in mountain areas it can be quite cool at night, especially during December/January. Additional equipment such as a rucksack, sleeping bag and life jacket are available in Chiang Mai, or you may prefer to take your own.
When packing be aware that dress standards are conservative throughout Asia. Loose, lightweight, long clothing is both respectful and cool in the predominantly hot Asian climate. Shorts should be knee-length. Singlets and tank tops are not suitable.
Consider adding a beach break to add to your Thailand adventure for a relaxing end to your holiday. Feel free to ask us for advice.
