Accommodation
During the trip you camp with swags* and tents. You will be experiencing the outback style of camping, so your participation in the quest for fun and adventure will be appreciated and will make for a more enjoyable experience.
NOTE: We supply swags to sleep on. A swag is comprised of a three-inch thick foam mattress with a canvas cover to keep it clean – they are very comfortable.
This itinerary takes us into some very remote areas where facilities are very basic. We often find ourselves camping alone in remote bush campsites. Each evening we will have access to toilet tent / pit toilet, however there will not be proper shower facilities during the trip. During the day we carry a small trowel and toilet waste is buried.
Transport
The vehicles we use for transport on our treks are Toyota Landcruisers or Coaster minibuses. We take a maximum of either eight (Landcruiser) or sixteen (Coaster) passengers plus a driver per vehicle. Our vehicles are registered as commercial tourist (passenger carrying) vehicles.
Meals
6 breakfasts, 7 lunches and 6 dinners. We expect that you will be surprised at the high quality of the food on this trip. There will be plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. The menu is designed for variety and to cater to different tastes. The meals during the trip will probably not be too much different from the kinds of foods most people eat at home. There will be plenty of clean drinking water available at all times during the trip.
