Accommodation
Our campsites are often on small cleared areas along the riverbank, and the evenings spent sitting around the camp after a hearty meal will provide some of the most enjoyable memories of your trip.
Transport
Transportation from and to Hobart at the start and end of the tour, plus all rafting and safety equipment.
Meals
8 breakfasts, 9 lunches and 8 dinners. There is a ban on campfires in the Franklin catchment so we will use fuel stoves to prepare our meals.
Staff
Experienced rafting guides. Your guides are there to keep you informed, to manage the preparation and running of the expedition, and to see that you get the most from your adventure. This trip is an "expedition" in the true sense of the word. Teamwork is essential and your participation in all activities, be it scouting rapids or camp chores, is encouraged and necessary for the smooth running of the trip. This involvement will also ensure that your trip is a rewarding one.

Other Information
We meet the AFTERNOON BEFORE DAY ONE at 4.00 pm for a full trip briefing. On the morning of Day One we depart at 6.00am SHARP for our drive to the Franklin River. We will be back in Hobart between 5:00pm and 11:00pm on the last day of the itinerary depending on the weather. You will therefore need to book accommodation in Hobart for the nights before and after your trip.
Most groups are made up of a mixture of single participants and couples. If you are travelling alone you will share a tent with someone of the same sex.
Operator Remarks
The itinerary should be seen as a rough guide only. Weather and river conditions are unpredictable and may cause the trip to be altered or delayed. Your enjoyment and safety are at all times paramount.
Private group trips are available for a minimum of 6 paying trekkers, a single supplement is not payable on this tour.
