Arrive at Horta airport where you will be met by our local driver and taken to your accommodation in Horta. 15 minute transfer. |

Just across the road from your hotel is the whale watching office and harbour from where your whale watching starts. You have a choice of either RIBs or fibre glass boats to go out and see the wide range of species in the Azorean waters : sperm whales, pilot whales, beaked whales, common dolphin, risso’s dolphin, bottlenose dolphin to name a few. |

Free day to explore Faial – sights to see include Capelinhos, a village that was buried in the 1957/8 eruption and is now re-appearing out of the ash and Faial’s volcanic crater which offers great views of the surrounding area. You could even take a 25 minute ferry ride to Pico and visit the whaling museums, cheese and wine factories or even climb Mt Pico (2351m).
