This busy yet well-paced trip takes the intrepid family from the hustle and bustle of Cairo, the Pyramids and the Egyptian Museum – home to the gold of Tutankhamun – down the green ribbon of the Nile to the frontier town of Aswan. We’ll enjoy a visit to a traditional Nubian home, a camel trek to St. Simeon’s Monastery, walks through Aswan’s atmospheric souqs and there’s even an optional trip to Ramses the Great’s amazing temple at Abu Simbel. In Luxor we ride to the Valley of the Kings by donkey and visit amazing Karnak Temple by horse-drawn carriage. There’s even time for a magical early morning balloon ride before we head back to Cairo. A busy trip with heaps packed in.
