You will be met by our representative at the airport and transferred to the comfortable Coral Coast Hotel located at Eel Garden reef Dahab. Here’ you’ll be in the company of divers and none divers alike, people who are here to enjoy the wonderful Red Sea coast. Relax and enjoy the hotel’s bar and restaurants, favourites amongst returning visitors.

After breakfast at 09:00hrs you’ll meet at the Dive Centre to arrange equipment required and 2 local dives. These two dives will enable you to adjust any equipment, do a weight check and get an orientation of diving in the Red Sea.

Today, your dive guide will lead you on 2 local dives off the stunning Dahab coast. It’s no surprise that experienced divers come back to Dahab time and again to enjoy the wide variety of dive sites to be found locally. Perfect for beginners or more experienced divers alike the regaion has much to offer. Later all equipment should be packed in safari bags ready for early morning pick up before departing on safari.

An early breakfast will be prepared for you from 06:30hrs, with a departure scheduled for 07:00hrs when you head north to the Blue Hole. Here camels will be waiting to take you on the first part of your safari experience. All equipment will be loaded onto the camels and you take your seats for what is an approximately 1hr ride to Ras Abu Galum. Here you will enjoy 2 dives on the pristine reef that lie off shore from this remote Bedouin settlement.

After a hearty lunch, freshly prepared and cooked on the open fire, you set off for your second dive before returning to the Blue Hole by camel and then back to the Dive Centre by 18:00hrs. This evening at 19:30hrs there is a briefing about the desert element of your trip with your desert guide.

This morning you departure from Dahab at around 08:00hrs, travelling by minivan the 70km to reach the location where you meet your Bedouin hosts. All equipment will be loaded on to your camels and you then set off for the 45minute trek by camel into the desert and the entrance of the White Canyon. It’s a narrow, winding canyon which opens up to the plateaus of the desert and then narrows again; a walk through take approximately 1.5 hours, emerging at the oasis of Ein Hudra.

Ein Hudra is an oasis surrounded by a range of sandstone mountains, soft sand & date palms. The local Bedouin of the area cultivate the land, growing a range of plants and herbs, date palm and grazing goats just as they have for hundreds of years. The oasis has its own natural water source which supplies the surrounding land. A stay here in Ein Hudra gives an insight into the Bedouin way of life.

After lunch at the oasis, we have time to relax before moving on to the Narrow Canyon and the sand-dunes in Wadi Hudra. It takes approximately 1.5 hours to trek to Wadi Hudra, where you explore one of the narrowest canyons in Sinai, Humidatt.

Reaching the highest point of this area enables us to look down on the vast Wadi Gazella laid out before us - concentrated sandstone & limestone plateaus, formed over millennia. Later we continue to our camp where dinner is prepared over the open fire. With plenty of time to relax afterwards and watch the sun go down we hear tales from the elder Bedouins, and enjoy their music and singing. We sleep under the stars in our open Bedouin tent or private dome tents.

Rising with the sun is always a good way to start to the day and, after breakfast, you load your the equipment onto camels and set off on the next stage of your trek. All aspects of desert survival can be seen as we spend time with the Bedouin, from day to day to camel handling, weather forecasting and general desert orientation. You move towards the south of the Sinai’s Wadi Rum and trek for two hours by camel then climb the stairs of Wadi Rum which leads us into the vast valley of sand-dunes and canyons.

Lunch is prepared and served here in the middle of the valley before we start to trek towards the Rock of Inscriptions. The Rock of Inscriptions dates back to 200BCE and shows how visitors even thousands of years ago recorded their passage through the region in stone; these people are believed to be from the Nabataean Age. You also travel back to the Bronze Age, at Nawamis where tombs date back to around 5,500 BCE years and lie lost in the uninhabitable desert. These remarkable tombs were believed to have been built to protect against a plague of mosquito (according to biblical legend) but are in fact tombs that functioned at the end of the Timna period. These are the oldest standing buildings that retain their own roofs intact to be found anywhere in the world. The tombs all face west and the sunset, a metaphor for the end of life.

Dinner is prepared at our camp here at Nawamis or alternatively at Mt Matamir.

After breakfast you’ll trek south towards the colourful limestone area of Mt Matamir- the mountain of pillars and which rises to some 900m above sea level. After trekking for two further hours we arrive at Abuegaba where you’ll have lunch and rest before walking on to a formation known as the Frozen Dinosaur, dramatically shaped through wind erosion, a process that can be seen throughout the Sinai. This particular area is a large, amazing expanse of open land of varying forms comprising dunes, rock sculptures and great panoramic views. The desert floor is sprinkled with crystallized rock, desert herbs and the footprints of the local wildlife.

You next take a route in the direction of Mount Barqa; the view from the summit, approximately 1167m above sea level, offers one of most spectacular views in the Sinai. Finally you head to the spectacular area of dunes at Hadoudah, the largest and highest of all the Sinai’s dunes, before heading back to Dahab to arrive around 18:00hrs.

Today is free for you to relax, sunbathe or indulge in some last-minute shopping in the colourful bazaars around Dahab before transferring to Sharm el Sheikh Airport for your flight home.
