An optional excursion to the nearby Greek island of Kastellorizo – truly an Oscar-winner of an island! Kastellorizo was the feature island of the movie “Mediterraneo” which won an Oscar for “Best Foreign Language Film” in 1991.

What To Bring

Clients should bring: drawing and painting materials (please see below for details), drinking water container, sun protection, comfortable footwear for walking to/from (occasionally remote) archaeological sites and swimwear.

Please Note: Materials: The courses are not restricted to any particular medium, however we do not encourage oils for 2 reasons: Firstly they have a long drying-time which may mean trying to transport wet paintings home, and secondly, airlines take a rather dim view of transporting flammables and view oil paints with deep suspicion. Recommended materials include acrylics, gouaches, watercolours, crayons, pastles etc.

Kas is an attractive cosmopolitan harbour town. It has a range of good restaurants, some lively bars, a range of shops, several banks with ATM machines, several pharmacies and some local supermarkets.

This is a Small Group holiday where you book and join a group of similarly minded individuals. As such it is dependant on us reaching minimum operating numbers - please contact us for latest numbers. Prices are quoted per person, sharing a twin or double room on a land only basis and are subject to confirmation at time of booking with the local Travel Expert.
