1	Tour starts in Cape Town, drive via Mossel Bay to Albertina (375kms)	Albertina
	Depart from Cape Town and drive along N2 towards Swellendam, heading for Mossel Bay where we have time to visit The Diaz Museum, The Post Office Tree and other attractions of Mossel Bay. Late afternoon drive back towards Albertinia on the way to a Sunset Big 5 Game Drive at the Garden Route Game Lodge. Dinner at the Game Lodge and enjoy a Hot Spring under the stars.

2	Game Drive before driving to Oudtshoorn (82kms)	Oudtshoorn
	Early morning Game drive to see some animals you perhaps didn’t see the evening before followed by a scrumptious breakfast. Depart from Albertinia and drive over the spectacular Robinson Pass on the way to Oudtshoorn. Spend the day at the Cango Caves; ride ostriches at the Cango Ostrich Farm and view Cheetah’s, Crocodiles and many other cats at the Crocodile Farm. Overnight in Wilderness at the Cloverleigh Guest House.

3	Drive to Storms River (110kms)	Storms River
	On departure, you’ll have the choice of doing either canoeing on the lagoon looking out for the 200 different species of birds, or catch the Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe steam train from George to Knysna enjoying the scenic splendour en route from the window of the Choo-tjoe train. Thereafter visit world’s highest Bungee at Bloukrantz (plenty of time to jump for those thrill seekers) as well as walk the hanging bridge over Storms River Mouth in the Tsitsikamma National Park.

4	Visit Plettenberg Bay enroute to Swellendam (320kms)	Swellendam
	Today you have the Option of an ocean adventure by spotting dolphins and whales (in season) from a boat in Plettenberg Bay. After the boat cruise, we depart Plettenberg Bay and head to Knysna for lunch and to explore the Knysna Heads. Thereafter we tour an aloe factory outside Albertina and overnight at the Buffeljagts Dam just outside Swellendam. Here there is the option of going on the longest foefie-slide in Africa.
	Accommodation: Somerset Gift Farm Swellendam shared accommodation or room with own bathroom.

5	Return to Cape Town (300kms)
	Depart Swellendam and follow the coastal route towards Hermanus. There is time for an optional extra of Shark Cage Diving if any one so wishes. We explore Hermanus including whale watching (in season) and enjoy a wine tasting at Sumaridge Wine Estate. From Hermanus we proceed to Betty’s Bay where we visit the Penguins at Stony Point. Return to Cape Town late afternoon via the stunning False Bay coastline where hopefully we’ll see more whales or dolphins.

Accommodation

Accommodation will be in Backpackers in shared dormitory rooms, or if paying a single supplement in private single or double rooms (tour only).

Transport

We use a fully equipped Toyota Hi-Ace with comfortable seating, large windows and a music system. All luggage is carried in a trailer to ensure maximum comfort in the vehicle.

4 breakfasts and 3 dinners. The menu is of high standard and can be adapted to cater for any dietary preferences.

What To Bring

Maximum baggage allowance: 12 kg. Jenman Safaris stipulates this luggage allowance, as an overloaded vehicle is a danger to both the clients and the guide. This does not include photographic equipment and a small daypack. Please bring a backpack or soft barrel bag, not a suitcase. Don't bring too much clothing, as there are washing opportunities along the way. Please adhere to the allowance specified as space for luggage is limited.

Clothing and other items to bring are: shorts, camera, walking shoes, light trousers/jeans, swimming costume, sandals, T-shirts, sun hat, windbreaker, warm clothes (May – August) long-sleeved shirts, sleeping bag, torch & spare batteries, water bottle, pillow, UV protection, mosquito protection, towel.

Cape Town add-on
As a Cape Town add-on before or after the tour we offer you a three-day package. On day 1 you’ll be picked up to the airport and transferred to your accommodation, the next day you’ll participate in a Cape Point Tour. The following day you’ll be picked up for your Garden Route Experience.
Accommodation is in a shared dorm room (bed only), at Ashanti Backpackers or Guesthouse within walking distance of the city centre.

• Additional Airport transfers can be arranged on request
• Clients are advised to bring enough money to cover the purchase of curios, and additional entertainment. There are automatic teller machines (ATM’s) available everywhere to draw money. Foreign exchange into the local currency is possible in most large cities through which we pass.
• International credit cards and travelers cheques are widely accepted.
• Our guides are trained in basic first aid and the vehicle is equipped with a comprehensive medical aid kit. Preventative Malaria medication should be taken before the trip and throughout its duration, although it is advisable to consult a doctor prior to departure.
• It is compulsory for all travelers to have insurance covering their personal requirements, medical expenses and personal possessions. This is to be arranged before leaving home country. Jenman Safaris has comprehensive public liability insurance.
• The onus is on the client to organize all visas required for South Africa.
