Into the Okavango Delta Our journey begins with a charter flight to Moremi Game Reserve and our comfortable tented camp in the very heart of the Okavango Delta. Hundreds of species are attracted to this fertile, freshwater basin including elephant, zebra, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, kudu and innumerable birds. From our base we make daily excursion on game drives in the Xaxanaka area and a boat safari to explore the maze of channels that make up this unique ecosystem.
Panhandle Houseboat & Lianshulu Northwest from the delta lies the Okavango Panhandle, a geological fault that restricts the meandering river until its release into the main delta. Here we enjoy the unique experience of a two-night stay on a private houseboat and spend the afternoon and following day exploring the vast reed beds and lagoons. Next it's into Namibia as we traverse the lush savannah of the Caprivi strip to Lianshulu on the banks of the Kwando river. Here we take a game drive among the wildlife of Mudumu National Park looking out for hippo and crocodile.
Chobe & Victoria Falls Heading back to Botswana we reach our river-side lodge at Kasane from where we make game drives into Chobe National Park to explore the forest and riverbanks, hopefully catching site of predators including lion and jackal as well as the elephant herds for which the park is famous. Finally we reach Livingstone, the adventure capital of Zambia and visit the raging 'Smoke that Thunders', Victoria Falls. You may also like to take a helicopter ride over the falls or a bush walk in nearby Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park among a range of optional activities.
