Western Cape is justifiably the most visited province in South Africa. Situated on the south-western tip of the African continent, with the cold Atlantic Ocean along the west coast and the warmer Indian Ocean on the south, it is a region of breathtaking beauty, majestic mountains, rolling vineyards, wide beaches and lush valleys.

So rich in attractions is this province that a week could be spent in Cape Town alone. Important National Parks include Table Mountain, Karoo, Wilderness and West Coast – each quite unique and ideal for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Activities also abound in this province of variety - from wineland meanders to cycling in the Cape – there is something for everyone. The Western Cape also boasts one of the six accepted floral kingdoms of the world. Although the smallest of them all, the Western Cape Floral Kingdom, locally called fynbos, contains more plant species than the whole of Europe. These include the world-famous protea and heather.

We had such a great 2 week tour in Western Cape. Cape Town is amazing - lively bars and restaurants, great history and architecture, the Ocean and Table Mountain. Stellenbosch for the wine tours....stay a while...we only did one day and not enough time to fully relax. And the Garden Route, which was a great tour full of amazing views, woodlands, secluded coast line, hidden coves and great walks.
