Relatively little-visited due to its inaccessible location Pench is gradually coming to the attention of the wildlife enthusiast who come here to explore a diverse wilderness area.

Hugging the lower reaches of the Satpura Hills in southern Madhya Pradesh Pench National Park is named after Pench River which flows from north to south through the park. Designated a National Park in 1992 and the 19th Project Tiger Reserve Pench covers around 758 sq km of tropical dry deciduous teak. Crisscrossed by numerous seasonal streams and nallahs water pools serve the wildlife, attracting animals from far around and providing good places to view wildlife.
