Introduction

My name is Christine Seabrook and I live in Hong Kong, one of the best places on earth to travel from! As soon as I have some money and some time off, I head out.

Recently I achieved a dream and spent 3 weeks sailing from Sth America to the Falklands, South Georgia and then Antarctica. I've now visited all 7 continents.

Areas of Interest

I visit Laos every year, as a friend and I support a government orphanage in Luang Prabang. You can read a bit more about it on the Laos Responsible Travel page of this web site.

At the moment, my passion is trying to raise sufficient funds to build new dormitory roofs for the 400 children.

If anyone would like to help out, it's easy to make a donation via paypal. Just go to www.lao-kids.org/Dormitory_Roofs.htm.

Help "Raise the Roof" for the Orphans of Laos

Posted on:

With the rainy season approaching, the Director asked us if we are able to raise funds to replace the roofs of the children's dormitories.

The current roofs are very old and are buckled and full of holes. This makes for very uncomfortable sleeping, that's for sure!

To fund-raise for the new roofs, we are offering you a unique opportunity.... to buy your own piece of corrugated iron!! I bet you've never been offered a chance quite like this before! Get your friends, family, colleagues, club members, etc. together and see how many sheets you can purchase!

If you click on the link below, I have created a new web page to let you know all about the old roofs and to give you the opportunity to participate in getting the roofs replaced. Let's see if we can provide the children with more comfortable nights' sleeps in future.
