Dubrovnik: Wonderful city but try and avoid peak season

Dubrovnik

This is one of my favourite Med cities - but not during the peak of high season in July and August when the streets are crammed full with people. If you have a choice of when to travel, try May, June, September or even a winter break. The old medieval city is intoxicating - on my last visit I did a ...

I stayed in this tented camp for 2 nights on a 10 day adventure holiday in northern Sudan. Staying here was memorable - the tents were comfortable, not luxurious, but ideal considering the overall lack of infrastructure in this part of the world. Italian influenced dinners were very tasty - followed...

Hello Nick

Posted on:
Monday, 21st January 2008

Thanks for your message. I have sent emails to the companies listed for Uganada and Rwanda. Is there only one company that you know of that goes to Rwanda? I plan on doing a Gorilla Trek in both countries, white-water rafting, visiting a couple of orphanages, and spending time in some of the parks hiking and seeing other primates. I'd love to do a a short jaunt to Ethiopia as well if I can get a bit more time off of work. What is the shortest amount of time you think I will need for a taste?. I will do a longer visit later on. Are there specific recommendations you would have for me. Thanks again! Elisa
