I am lucky enough to specialise in PR for the travel industry. I am fairly well travelled with a 'country count' of around the 40 mark. I love unusual destinations (Armenia, Lebanon and Nagorno Karabach among them) but also love Europe and Australia where I regularly go to visit relatives.

I enjoy travelling to all destinations, especially new and rarely visited ones. My travelling achievements to date are trekking in the jungles of Surinam and driving a 1-litre trabant through 17 countries from London to Mongolia! This summer I'm planning an even crazier trip from London to Mongolia but via a much harder route. This time I'll be travelling through Iran and driving the Pamir Highwa...

For 13 years I worked in the travel industry, first as an adventure tour leader (best job in the world!), then in the product and operations depts. of two of the UK's leading adventure travel companies (eventually became just too much of a 'desk job' for me). Having worked in Athens for a couple of years, we have a house built on a Cretan hillside to which we have retired. Val spends much of her time developing the garden.

Crete as an island has so much to offer (once you get away from the very few mass-marketed resorts) - walking, quiet beaches, culture, excellent food and friendly people.

This has NOT stopped us travelling!
