A cyclone warning class 2 is in force in Mauritius since 15.30 hours today Wednesday 30th January. ‘Gula’ was centred at about 450 kms to the North East of Mauritius in latitude 16.8 º S, longitude 60.0 º E and is moving at a speed of 15 km/h towards the South. During the last hours, ‘Gula’ has lost of its intensity and is now classified as Severe Tropical Storm with registered gusts at 120 km/h. On this trajectory, it continues to approach Mauritius.
