If any of you have thought about a trip to Albania but don't fancy committing to a week or two, why not consider an adventure break? Colin, Dave and I took our first 'co-founder' getaway in Albania last year. And what a blast it was! With a late night arrival in Tirana followed by a very dubious taxi ride on unlit badly pot-holed roads to our hotel in central Tirana - it was clear Albania was going to be a very different European experience. Best of all was the look on Dave's face as he opened the door to our 'triple' budget room....a bit of come-down since the old days of paid employment, but what the hell - it was great value - and overlooking the heart of central Tirana. The days that followed gave us a great insight into the real Albania, with a nutty driver, some exceptional meals and vibrant Tirana nightlife. An Albanian holiday - who'd have thought it!
