Al Ain is known as the Garden City and is located deep in the UAE close to the border with Oman.

The road from Dubai takes us through stark the desert scenery before we pause at the archaeological digs at Hili and which date back 5000 years. Next we head to Al Ain Museum sat next to the old fortress and stroll through the oasis town of Buraimi with its ancient falaj irrigation system.

After lunch we visit Al Ain Palace Museum. The Palace was the residence of the late ruler Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan from 1927 till the early 70s and makes for an interesting stop.

Finally, on our way back to Dubai, we stop by the camel market – a great photo opportunity!

Itinerary

Pick up at 08:30 from your hotel in Dubai, returning at around 16:30hrs.
