These beautiful boats are completely authentic junks, combining Malay and Dutch influences, recalling a bygone age of pirates and smugglers. Our fleet comprises of three fully equipped and insured vessels with a total capacity of 80, or 20, 20 and 40 respectively.

Each boat features modern safety equipment and lifejackets, a comfortable sun deck with mattresses, sun canopy covering three quarters of the deck, immaculate, clean western-style toilets and a fully-stocked bar.

Guests are picked up either from the airport or hotels in Phuket and shuttled to the June Bahtra by private vehicle. Upon return to Phuket guests are shuttled by private vehicle to the destination of their choice.

During your day you’ll swim, relax, enjoy fine food and explore by long-tailed boat visiting a sea-gypsy village, seeing the famous James Bond Island where filming took place and a mangrove delta. This is the perfect day trip out for those that want a touch of history.

Itinerary

We’ll pick you up from your hotel at approximately 07:30hrs and transfer to the embarkation pier by air-conditioned bus where we embark on board the June Bahtra and cruise through the enchanting Phang Nga Bay.

Around noon we arrive at James Bond Island and cruise by long tail boat to visit a sea gypsy village. We also visit the mangrove delta and grotto cave.

A delicious Thai buffet lunch is served on board, then an afternoon free to relax, sunbathe and swim.

Lastly we cruise back to Phuket and transfer to the hotel.
 

Prices Include:

Transfer from/to hotel and pier of Laem Maprao, welcome drink upon arrival on board, Thai lunch on board with tea and coffee, a long-tail boat ride, bilingual guide:

German/English - speaking guide every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
French/English - speaking guide every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Tips, meals and any other personal expenses.
