There are an enormous range of activities available from the Muyuna Amazon Lodge, which are each designed to allow you to get the very best out of your visit. Several suggestions are outlined under the 'Itinerary' tab below.

Itinerary

Walks
• Walks in the rainforest to find out the many medicinal uses of the plants, including cures for headaches, stomach aches, arthritis and even cancer.
• Walks in the rainforest in search of many species of animals.
• Night walks searching for nocturnal animals and insects.
• Walks to the high rainforest.

Community Visits
• Visits to the local but remote Amazonian village of San Juan.

Boat Trips
• Canoeing on hand made Amazonian canoes along the tributaries and nearby lakes
• Boat trips to see the beautiful and spectacular Amazon sunsets and sunrises.

Wildlife and Ecosystems
• Birdwatching trips
• Listen to the grey and/or pink river dolphins with a specialized equipment that only Muyuna Lodge has
• Visits the massive water lilies
• Search for the pre-historic looking Hoatzin birds
• Caiman sightseeing at night
• Tarantula hunting (very optional!)

Fishing
• Fishing for Piranha in the rivers and lakes.

Swimming
• Swimming in the mighty Amazon
• Swimming in the lakes.

Camping
• Camping out deep in the jungle.

Chilling Out
• Trip to a sandy beach on an Amazonian island
• Relaxing in one of the lodges many hammocks (no guide provided for this activity!)

 

Prices Include:

Local guides accompany most of the excursions and activities. In some cases special equipment will also be provided.

Prices Exclude:

Make sure you bring the items recommended on the packing lists. Discretionary tips are not included.
