An amazing day’s riding through forests, villages and open countryside and on a variety of tracks showcasing some of the best valley views. You’ll ride on the Nepal Mountain Bike Championship course en route to holy Budhanilkantha enjoying amazing views along the way.

Not an easy ride this 55km cycle trek takes the fit rider to just over 2000m, with your efforts rewarded by spectacular panoramic mountain views of Ganesh and Langtang Himal on the way.

We ride out of Kathmandu though the busting back streets of Thamel and, leaving the city behind, bike up to Kakani mostly climbing on paved roads ad through forest.

After lunch we head off on one of the best technical trails in the valley (used as the Nepal Mountain Bike Championship course) down towards Budhanilkantha on a wide undulating and unmade jeep road and single tracks, passing through the famous Shivapuri forest to Budhanilkantha.

Here a remarkable 5th century statue of Lord Vishnu, reclining on the coil of the snake king sits in the middle of small pond. From here we cycle back to Kathmandu and journey’s end.

Age Restrictions	Minimum 14 years.
What to Bring	Camera, water, sunscreen, sunhat. Cycling shorts/trousers and gloves are recommended.
