Half day sightseeing in Jaipur
from GBP 14 per person
With little time to spare you’ll want to make the best use of it exploring the Pink City’s must-see sites.
You’ll start off with a visit to the Hawa Mahal whose elegant pink façade is punctuated by numerous jharokas or elegant carved windows. A climb up behind the Hawa Mahal to see the view over the street below as the harem women once did is followed by a look at the strange collection of astronomical instruments that are the Jantar Mantar.
Nearby you’ll enter the City Palace to see a fabulous collection of Rajput memorabilia and the enormous water jars famously used to take Ganges water from India to London for the Maharaja’s visit, a fine way to end this packed half-day.
