First you’ll head to Old Delhi, Shahjahanabad, to explore the Red Fort and visit the massive Jama Masjid. You’ll have the chance to wander the backstreets of Chandni Chowk, the famous market that has been here for centuries. Travelling via the moving memorial to Gandhi at Raj Ghat you’ll head south to the justifiably famous Qut’b Minar complex, the stunning Lotus Temple and Humayun’s Tomb, the latter said to be inspiration for the Taj Mahal.
You’ll finish late this afternoon at India Gate with a chance to look down Rajpath to the impressive parliament buildings. A great introduction to the city.
