Superbly located on Rue Bab Agnaou, Riad Omar is only a few steps walk from one of Africa's greatest attractions - the Place Djemaa el Fna, in the very heart of the Medina of Marrakech. Formerly a hotel for drivers, it was completely restored into a characterful and traditional riad offering 20 rooms and 4 suites.

Riad Omar: A few steps from the square......

I have stayed at the Riad Omar about 4 times now and I really love this place. It is situated literally less than a 1 minute walk from the Djemma el Fna Square and offers a wonderful and peaceful place to stay in a fantastic location. The rooms are fairly standard, but very comfortable and good value. Breakfast is taken on the roof terrace, which is worth the stay itself, with fantastic views of the mountains on a clear day. The food is very nice too with freshly cooked local bread or pancakes....very nice. The riad is also known for its local traditional food during the day - worth the 1 minute walk back from the square to try it out! Excellent value.
