Borderland Resort is a truly magical place enveloped in a natural Himalayan splendour. We are located a mere 3hrs north of Kathmandu, just 18kms south of the Tibetan border. Built on beautifully sculpted sprawling terraces alongside the powerful Bhote Koshi River the enchanting Borderlands hideaway is unique and unlike any place you have been before.

 

Whether it is the challenge of rafting the mighty Bhote Koshi, taking on a canyon descent, an off-the beaten trek to a hidden monastery or a mountain bike ride along the Tibetan border, Borderlands provides the ideal base. Those who simply want to recharge their batteries will find its remote location combined with great comfort provides just what is needed.

Rooms

Accommodations are based on twin sharing roomy VIP Tents. These are either 2 or 4 bedded (and are thus suitable for families) and have low beds, a table and solar powered lighting. Chairs sit outside each making for a pleasant place to sit. Towels are provided. Toilet and washing facilities are communal and located close by.

We also provide two lower categories of tents – Safari and Dome.

Large 2 or 4 bedded tents with low beds, a table and solar lamps. Towels are provided. There are two wooden chairs on the verandah.

Borderlands Resort is eco-friendly adventure resort. We use solar energy for heating our water and powering the lamps inside the tents. Bio-degradable waste is composted for use in the garden and non-bio-degradable waste is taken back to Kathmandu for proper disposal. Most of the staff employed at Borderlands come from nearby villages providing valuable income in a poor area of the country. Borderlands also supports a local school.

Payment Conditions

To confirm your booking we require a deposit of 50% of cost of the stay with the balance payable on arrival in Nepal.

  1. Clients booking must be at least 18 years of age. He/she book on behalf of the entire group agreeing to the terms set out below.
  2. Your booking will be confirmed (subject to availability) on receipt of a deposit of 50% of the price of the stay. The balance is payable on departure
Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received 72 hours prior to 16:00hrs on day of arrival local time to avoid one night penalty charge to your credit card or forfeiture of deposit.
