Mweya Safari Lodge is located on a peninsula within the heart of the spectacular Queen Elizabeth National Park.
It is a safari lodge compared to no other - with comfortable accommodation, breathtaking views from every room, an abundance of game and some of the best birdwatching in East Africa.
One of the key advantages of Mweya Safari Lodge is that you are not restricted to a vehicle in the vicinity of the lodge.
Each and every room is luxurious, from the grandeur of the President’s Cottage (where the Queen Mother lodged in 1954) to the Presidential Cottage, the Royal Cottage, the Rwenzori Cottage, the Deluxe, Suites, Triple Share and Double/Twin accommodation. All rooms have balconies overlooking the Kazinga Channel and Lake Edward, private bathrooms and electricity.
A special smile meets you at Mweya Safari Lodge. Enjoy a drink and some friendly conversation at the intimate reed thatched bar, or relax in the quiet comfort of the lounge or terrace, sipping a ‘Hippo Smile’ or a ‘Mweya Memory’ while making plans for tomorrow.
The hotel has a beautiful swimming pool with a poolside bar and a souvenir shop. The Lodge offers game drives in Land Cruisers through the park; launch trips on the Kazinga Channel; chimpanzee tracking into the gorge and bird watching.
Dine in the attractive Kazinga Restaurant, a stone clad dining room with its polished parquet floor, wide picture windows and warm friendly ambience. Crisp linen, sparkling silverware, fine china and fresh flowers play host to a wide choice of good food and huge bowls of succulent fruits. The restaurant offers a hearty breakfast with plenty of variety, an excellent a-la-carte menu and often a barbeque at weekends..
