This hotel is a lovely, small "Directoire chateau" overlooking the Dordogne river in a large park with centenary trees and an aquatic centre. The hotel is situated half way between Bergerac and Sarlat, on the Dordogne river and the Perigord Noir region and is well located for all the attractions of the region such as Chateau de Beynac, pre-historical sites at "Les Eyzies" and "Lascaux Cave" and medieval bastides villages.
The hotel has 16 rooms tastefully decorated with stylish furniture in the Manor and 6 modern rooms at the Orangerie overlooking the park. All rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with satellite TV, telephone, bathroom, hair dryer and trouser press.
Gourmet cuisine is available at the restaurant "Les Delices d'Hortense" where the chef Eric Barbe let us share typical and savoury dishes of Perigord like goose liver, duck and other local specialities in a romantic setting. There is also a prestigious local wine list. In the summer luncheons take place on the terrace.
The hotel also has a sauna, whirlpool, jacuzzi and steam bath, outdoor swimming-pool, and tennis. Nearby you can enjoy fishing in the river Dordogne, biking, canoeing and there are three golf courses within 9-30 km of the hotel.
