Activity and Leisure Services
Kilwa has over the past year become known as one of the most exciting fishing destinations on the East Coast of Africa. Operations Director James and Kerry Taylor have a highly capable and knowledgeable team of skippers and fishing guides.
The diversity of the fishing at Kilwa makes it almost incomparable to other destinations. Big Wahoo, Dorado, Kingfish ( GT, Blue Fin, Green Spot, Chavelle ) Yellow Fin Tuna, Marlin, Dog Tooth Tuna and many other species are resident in the area, and have become preferred targets. Sailfish make Kilwa’s area their feeding grounds from August to February and are now being caught on poppers and fly. Traveling only a few kilometers out to sea offers all the different forms of angling; from trolling, light tackle, spinning, jigging, and the ever more popular saltwater fly-fishing, all with our locally experienced team.
its not all about catching big fish... its also going for a joyride on Chachungy, having lunch in the Shallows, or going for a snorkel and finding a school of Dolphins.. and then coming home to the most awesome African Sunset
