Rooms
Originally designed for His Royal Highness the Maharaja of Jodhpur at the turn of last century this style of tent was originally used on hunting expeditions. They also catered for an overflow of guests at the palace and even for Vice Regal and royal visits. The tents are custom made, raised on a concrete plinth. The attached bathrooms are permanent with running hot and cold water. There is 24 hour electricity at the camp. The bedrooms have all that you need from heaters to hot water bottles.

Dining
The dining experience at Sher Bagh is carefully crafted. Hot, early morning tea before the jungle ride is served to you either in your tent or at the remains of the last night's campfire. A comprehensive breakfast includes fruit, muesli and eggs. Lunch is Continental style with soup, pastas, chicken or meat and salads whilst dinner is lightly spiced local food - lentils, rice, vegetables and chicken or meat. Snacks are available on order throughout the day. The Library Bar serves a wide range of drinks from what is an extensive cellar.
Fair Trade Information:
The camp was incorporated in July 2000 as a private limited company to promote eco-friendly tourism. Sher Bagh is the first camp of its type and is situated on the periphery of the Ranthambore National Park. The premise of the company was based on the need to conserve the delicate balance between man and nature and show, through example, how tourism can be constructive and when necessary, controlled effectively. We, from the urban environment, have forgotten how to relate to our natural habitat, to respect and nurture it. Sher Bagh's endeavour is to propagate, through interactions there, and the special experience, this very important balance and its comprehension. 5% of the camp’s revenue from sale of accommodation is donated to organisations working to save Ranthambore.
