Delightful heritage hideaway, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India
Located by Chand Pol, one of Jaipur’s huge, ornate gates and huddled by the city walls the Bissau Palace is wonderfully located for exploring the wonders of the Pink City.
Owned and operated by the erstwhile rulers of Bissau in Shekhawati, northwest of Jaipur the Bissau Palace is probably Jaipur’s leading 3* heritage property. Rooms are decorated with an abundance of style, yet are not too ornate as to be untrue to the Rajput style. The Palace was built in 1919 and has recently been renovated today it offers an oasis of calm, care, comfort and respite from the 'heat and dust' of the city. The guest rooms are spacious and comfortable and the atmosphere of the whole is of old-world charm. The hotel has a reputation for excellent cuisine and service. Approached along a sweeping drive lawns spread around the property – perfect for afternoon tea – whilst the small pool provides a cooling dip on hot summer days.
