The Casuarina Hotel is located in Trou aux Biches – on the north west coast, some 5 km from Grand Bay and 18 km from Port Louis, the capital. The hotel is just across a secondary road from the white sandy beach on a coral reef enclosed lagoon.
With moorish architecture, with white-washed walls and thatched roofs, the Casuarina Hotel is laid out amidst lush tropical gardens and makes for a relaxing retreat from the modern world.
Bungalows have 2 bedrooms, living and dining room, kitchenette, fan and air-conditioning, telephone and TV.
The suite has a whirlpool
Paths wind between casuarina trees and coconut palms leading to the rooms and bungalows, through to the swimming-pool, bar and restaurant, which overlook the sea.
The hotel has a mini-club. Diving, boat cruises, deep sea fishing and undersea walks can all be organised at the hotel. Every friday there is a traditional Sega show.
The hotel's three restaurant include 'Fingers' snack bar; 'Boucanier' half-board restaurant and 'Tree Top' a-la-carte restaurante.
