Camp Moremi is situated on the beautiful Xakanaxa Lagoon on the eastern edge of the permanent Okavango Delta, within the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. Here, where the life-giving waters of the Okavango meet up with the vast Kalahari, ancient Mopane forests, open grassland, seasonal floodplains and riverine habitats have formed, creating one of the most magnificent and welcoming animal sanctuaries in all of Africa.

Shaded by giant ebony trees, the magnificent Moremi tree lodge is an elegant elevated thatch and timber structure, consisting of a main lounge, wildlife reference library, dining room and cocktail bar.

Camp Moremi accommodates only 22 guests in East African-style safari tents, individually situated on raised teak platforms with private adjacent facilities & viewing decks.

The tents are furnished with an African teak wardrobe, luggage rack, dressing table, bedside pedestals and traditional director's chairs. Colourful woven rugs, designer linen and matching interior blinds complete your African hideaway. Each tent has its own private bathroom next to it.

Other Information

Generator power (AC 220V) is available during the day and evening. Video batteries can be re-charged. Tented accommodation is equipped with a 220-volt AC plug for hairdryers and invert 12-volt DC lighting at night once generator is switched off.

Access is by charter aircraft from Kasane (served by daily road transfers from Victoria Falls and Maun to Xakanaxa airstrip. The lodge transfers guests to and from Xakanaxa airstrip. Camp Moremi may also be reached by 4x4 vehicle or by unique boat transfer from Camp Okavango.
