Located by Chand Pol, one of Jaipur’s huge, ornate gates and huddled by the city walls the Bissau Palace is wonderfully located for exploring the wonders of the Pink City. Owned and operated by the erstwhile rulers of Bissau in Shekhawati, northwest of Jaipur the Bissau Palace is probably Jaipur’s leading 3* heritage property. Rooms are decorated with an abundance of style, yet are not too ornate as to be untrue to the Rajput style.
The Palace was built in 1919 and has recently been renovated today it offers an oasis of calm, care, comfort and respite from the 'heat and dust' of the city. The guest rooms are spacious and comfortable and the atmosphere of the whole is of old-world charm. The hotel has a reputation for excellent cuisine and service. Approached along a sweeping drive lawns spread around the property – perfect for afternoon tea – whilst the small pool provides a cooling dip on hot summer days.
51 rooms with attached bathrooms, hot and cold water, telephone, TV's and room service.

There is the lounge and library with its vast collection of royal portraits, old silver and armoury dating back to the 17th century - all mementos of history and time exuding a languid grace of the bygone era. Modern amenities include a coffee shop, car rentals and swimming pool.
Amenities include a filtered swimming pool and jacuzzi, rare books in a fine wood-panelled library, an assortment of arms used in war and a collection of old silver from the former states of Rajasthan. Note that the owners also have The Retreat, a wonderful if tiny hideaway in the Rajasthani countryside. Located just 27 km's away on the Jaipur-Agra highway and nestling amidst orange, lemon and gooseberry plantations, surrounded by the Aravalli hills on all sides it offers the visitor the opportunity to explore rural Rajasthan. Ride camels or camel-carts through sleepy villages and see village life then at the end of the day relax on the lawns by the pool before enjoying a sumptuous lunch or dinner buffet accompanied with traditional folk dancing or sitar recitals. For those wishing to stay over night there is the luxury of deluxe suites available with all modern amenities.
