Turtles are fascinating creatures, and their breeding areas are protected in the Sultanate of Oman. Ras Al Junayz, Ras Al Haad & Massirah Islands are such a nesting and breeding area and an interesting nature conservation site. You reach here at night - the best time to watch early nesters coming to shore to lay eggs in the sand. Your all night vigil can also be rewarded at dawn by the presence of emerging hatchlings and late nesters.

The Damaniyat Island Nature Reserve - Limestone Rocks and Coral Reefs characterize these islands of unprofaned beauty and ecological significance. Experience the thrill of wading through colonies of red and green Coral reefs as shoals of fish; yellow morays and octopuses stare at you in amazement.

Best Season: July, August and September for Hatching.
